Yenesaw is Collecting Documents!

A bit of news from Sue today that made my day!

One of our social workers, Yenesaw, is in Kamashi collecting documents. He was scheduled to arrive on Thursday but did not arrive yet so we do not have those Kamashi docs yet to submit to court. It is very very difficult to collect docs from that remote area. I remember that once, Brother James, who runs the orphanage, had to walk 3 hours to obtain one signature from someone. They are working hard but Yenesaw will not come back until he has everything he needs since he cannot return there easily. He is also a lawyer so he really knows about documents but as of yet he is not back in Addis.

There is hope that Obsi's paperwork will come very soon.

Pictures of Tamirat

Wendi's professional photographer took some great pictures of Tamirat! She also gave us a glimpse into his current life at the orphanage. Her blog has helped my wait. I have contacted Jesse for pictures so I could start a lifebook for Tamirat. I hope to also add them into a photo story I hope to make for each boy. The link is in my last post so please take a peek.

Tamirat is wearing a navy "Fisher, IL" teeshirt that Barb gave him when she picked up his brother and sister. He always has that shirt on, always. Any pictures I get of him, he has his Fisher tee on. I hope Pochi lets him take that shirt with him.

As of this morning, we still have no word on Tamirat's case.

Amazing Blog....

The Cross family, who is adopting from the same orphanage that Tamirat is at, is taking a professional photographer with them on their trip to pick up their son, Nebeyu. Other than their extra trip to Uganda, we will be making that same trip. If you wish to follow them, this is the blog site: http://www.speckledbirdart.com/blog/

They will also be taking pics of Tamirat while there although, I am not expecting professional pictures, maybe just their own little camera. This is the second family to visit Tamirat. I am still waiting for pictures and video of Tamirat from the Mihnovich family. They arrived in the US with their 4 Ethiopian children Monday night so when they get around to my pictures (gee, Tracy went from having 3 children to having 7 children so I suppose I could wait....:-) ) I will post them here. I do have to wait until we pass court on Thursday, and he is ours, but I will share each and every picture of that cute boy. This is what Tracy had to say:
He is the most precious child! I didn't want to leave him!
I have many more(pictures)! Hopefully Elle can get the video uploaded and I'll send you a DVD soon. :)) He truly is precious!
How is that for encouragement?

If you really want to see....I was tagged in a pic that Tracy posted so it is on my FB photo section, but shhhh....I am not going to tell you which boy because he isn't ours yet.....and remember, I didn't post it, they are pictures from Tracy's trip.

We have a Court Date!

I found this posted on my client area of the CCI website:

Case of Tamarit has been submitted to court. The
court will hear the case on March 11.

I haven't heard from the director if that is official yet but Angela in the office thinks so.
